- Journal 21: I’d say this project is going well. I’m really excited about the idea our group came up with. We decided that I’d be responsible for panels 2 and 3, along with our logo and product mockup. Making an entire brochure on your own seems intimidating, but collaborating with others to split the workload has made it a lot less stressful. I think the vision started coming together as I began working on my panels and refining the company logo. I think our brochure so far is very clear and is pleasing to the eye. We’ve been communicating through email, making sure to catch Maeve up with all the information she’ll need to do her panel. If someone wasn’t listening to my ideas in a collaborative project, I would try to individually speak with them. Being in a conversation with them would ensure that they hear what I have to say and give us a chance to discuss anything that comes up. I would want to hear their perspective and perhaps why they thought my idea wouldn’t work for the project. Effective communication is vital for any sort of collaboration.
